10th February Circle of Life and 3 Little Pigs

Circle of Life Dance

We are very proud that that we were recently invited to perform for the opening of the West Sussex Primary Headteachers' Conference.

Some of our children from Year 2  went to Avisford Park Hotel in Arundel with Mrs Ford, to perform a dance that they had choreographed to the music 'Circle of Life' from The Lion King.

The dance included the rising and setting sun, gazelles, elephants, lions and birds. The dance was linked with this half term's topic; Out of Africa.

3 Little Pigs

Our 3 Little Pigs themed  afternoon this week was a great success!

Year 1 children wrote and posted invitations to an afternoon of crafts and activities related to the story.

We were delighted that so many family members came along to join in with their children and to find out what they have been learning.

Thank you for supporting us.

We hope you have a great half term and that we all return without all the nasty bugs that have been flying around!

Happy Christmas

We had a very special visitor on Party Day!

We went out to our yurt and met Father Christmas, who gave everyone a present.

Happy Christmas everyone!

Year One's Special Visitors

27th November 2015

Our Year One children have been learning about old and new toys.

Last week a very special visitor came to Southbourne Infant School... We were very lucky to meet Jane Hissey! She brought the real Old Bear and some of his friends with her and she told the children all about how she writes and illustrates her books.

This week the children also held a very special Teddy Bear Tea Party for their grandparents.

The special guests had tea and home made teddy biscuits and were entertained by the children, who sang songs and read riddles about toys.

The children found out about what their grandparents used to play with and they all went back to the classrooms to play some games together.
