Values and Vision


At Southbourne Infant School our values and broad, rich curriculum underpin our aim to enable our children to become creative enthusiastic learners. 

Our stimulating and engaging environment encourages our children to be independent, curious and resilient learners preparing them for life-long learning and success.

The school’s embedded ‘Rainbow values’ and high expectations of behaviour underpin the school's commitment to the personal development of every child to support them on their individual journey. 



We, the children, teachers, support staff, lunchtime supervisors and parents, aim to make our school a happy and safe place, by Following the Rainbow.

We try to be better than last time (we want to succeed or improve)

We plan and think things through

We try to have an understanding of our learning journey; where we come from and where we need to go
