School Meals

Hot Lunch

In conjunction with West Sussex County Council, Chartwells Catering provide a hot meals service using the  Steamplicity menu offer.

All Infant children are entitled to a free school meal called Universal Free School Meals UIFSM

If you wish to check out this term's menu, please go online to: https://westsussex.mealselector.co.uk/

All our food is cooked on the school site in a kitchen pod where nuts, gluten and other allergens are present and menu descriptions do not include all ingredients. If your child has a food allergy, please let us know before ordering. Full allergen information is available on request.

Free School Meals

Although all Infant children are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) if you are on a low income, or on certain benefits, the school may be able to get extra funding for your child, called Pupil Premium or Free School Meals. You can benefit from this by having more support for your child's learning (if appropriate) free uniform and free trips.

Packed Lunch

If you would rather, you may send your child to school with a packed lunch. We are a Healthy School, so please try to ensure that your child has a healthy balance of food in their lunchbox.

Please do not include the following;

  • fizzy drinks
  • glass bottles/flasks
  • chocolates or sweets
  • anything containing nuts

How can you support the school?

Although UIFSM are funded by the government, they are not fully funded.  You can help by ONLY ordering a hot dinner when your child needs one, and cancel meals if they do not need them.  As a school we get charged for meals ordered but not taken.
