Starting School September 2021

Unfortunately due to the current COVID situation, we will not be able to have our usual guided tours.    If you have a child who is due to start school in September 2021, please take a look at our amazing virtual tour by Treagust and Co. You can also see a welcome from our Headteacher, Mrs Partridge, a video talking you through our Reception classrooms and some frequently asked questions. Applying for admission to our Reception Classes for September 2021.

Apply online between Monday 5th October 2020 and Friday 15th January 2021.

Please:

Apply to the County to which you pay your Council Tax, even if this is Hampshire.

Complete an application form online at https://www.westsussex.gov.uk/education-children-and-families/schools-and-colleges/school-places/primary-infant-and-junior-school-places/#apply-for-a-place  or www.hants.gov.uk/admissions

Please make sure that you fill in ALL 3 spaces when you are choosing a school!

It is very important that forms are submitted by the cut-off date - this year the cut-off date is    Friday 15th January 2021.

DUE TO CURRENT COVID RESTRICTIONS, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OFFER OUR USUAL VISITS TO THE SCHOOL. WE ARE CURRENTLY PUTTING TOGETHER AN EXCITING VIRTUAL TOUR...PLEASE WATCH THIS SPACE!

In-Year Applications

Admission to other Year Groups further up the school may be possible depending on pupil numbers. Please contact the school for an informal discussion. Applications must be made to West Sussex County Council.

Transition to Junior School

During the autumn term of Year 2, you will receive a letter explaining the transition procedures for moving to theJuniors. Please note that these forms need to be completed online and that there is also a deadline for these applications.

 

Southbourne Infant School's capacity is 60 pupils per year group meaning that we have capacity for 180 children across our three year groups.
